Climate Change/ Adaptability

Global Climate Change is a change in temperate and weather conditions which is attributed either directly or indirectly to human activities that alter the global atmospheric composition, this is taken into account along with natural climate variability observed in comparable periods of time. Some degree of future climate change will occur regardless of future greenhouse gas emissions.

Adapting to, or coping with, climate change is (will therefore become)  necessary in certain regions and for certain socioeconomic and environmental systems.  The need for adaptation will be increased by growing populations in areas vulnerable to extreme events.  The IPCC defines adaption as “adjustment in natural or human systems in response to actual or expected climatic stimuli or their effects, which moderates harm or exploits beneficial opportunities”.
